Photos by Kody!

My little photographer... I was taking some pics of the kids (trying to get all 4 to cooperate= NIGHTMARE SESSION)... anyway, Makenna wouldn't sit still so I put her in my lap and asked Kody to take a few pictures. I had the manual settings ready and showed him how to frame and focus before shooting. This was his first picture...
These were his next shots. He said, "Is it ok, if I took it when you weren't looking?" I was so happy he did... like a good photographer, he knew when to keep snapping pics! I love candids and I am almost NEVER in pictures. Thank you Kody for doing such a great job!!!

Pre-Turkey Day

At preschool this week, we made hand print turkeys and talked about being thankful. Caden said, "I am thankful for corn dogs." :)
Hi... I was taking Caden's picture, and she saw the camera and said, "Cheez." I know her shirt is NICE and Clean! UGH!

Ashley saw what we made at preschool today and decided to make some of her own. She was excited that I had enough for her to make the hat AND the necklace.
Hope you all have a great turkey day!
Now.. I am off to see if ANY channel here will actually play the UT/ BYU game.. GO UTES!

Show

As I was putting her to bed tonight, she told me, "Tomorrow I will be putting on a singing show in my bedroom and you are invited. My bed will be the stage and we can set up chairs -- I might need some from your class-- and we can give people tickets. If you want, you can play Kody's gintar (aka guitar)." I have no idea where she gets these ideas... but it reminds me of my carefree days making up dances in my neighbor's yard or carefully lining up all my dolls to watch me put on a show...

Ashley is always saying that she thinks grown ups have all the fun (after all, we get to stay up late and go to bed whenever we want). It's times like these that part of me thinks kids have all the fun... no stress, no worries other than what she will wear for her performance and what she should write on the tickets...

Halloween: Neighborhood Style!

Ok, so we really do have a fun neighborhood! These are just SOME of the kids that live on our street. Halloween was great! We had a neighborhood BBQ with 10 families (I think there were actually 15 but I didn't know all of them -- they were friends/ family of neighbors).

Caden was inside during this family picture. He was crying and refusing to wear his $20 Thomas the Train costume we bought (so glad we spent THAT money!).

Ever see a dinosaur riding a bike?!

The party set up... believe it or not, we do this almost every weekend! FUN!!!!!!!!!
